Honeycrisp tie-down

A young Honeycrisp/B.9 tied down at Sunrise Orchard. All young trees have their bottom scaffold limbs tied to promote early fruiting. The Teach's are meticulous orchardists and their attention to detail showed. B.9 was a favored rootstock for Honecyrisp in the cold Wisonsin/Minnesota climate. This very climate, however, makes for good Honecyrisp growing producing high-colored fruit.
