Day two (June 22) stop number one was at Herdie Baisden's Maiden Rock Apples in Stockholm, WI. Herdie is a new but enthusiastic (does he look it?) grower with a young orchard that is geared towards the tourist trade on the banks of the Mississippi River. His marketing expertise was evident in looking at his operation. One group took the bus into the local town where he had set up a separate retail store (The Good Apple) to market his apples, and local apple wines and ciders.
